Gaming Bucket list

There are loads of activities to do in the wonderful world of gaming, but what do I think is worth doing before you “kick the bucket”? Well, I would have little to suggest as I think gaming is a very personal taste. I do however have a list of my own I’d like to complete. Here are some of the things I’d like to do before I’m off on my way.

Own Every Console

My first aspiration is to own every single console, ever. I know that it would be difficult to collect everyone, but all of the major consoles at the very least would make me happy. I was getting close until I started giving away my consoles to relatives to never be seen again. Although the road is more fun than the destination in most cases anyway so I’m not too upset.

Build a Gaming PC

I am a big fan of all things tech but have never built a computer. I’d love to purchase all parts (case, fans, boards, etc included) and go to town building a super powerful computer. I want to play Crysis 2 on the highest settings smooth as butter, boot in record time and load with slick speed. These aspirations will cost money and we’ll probably be outdated two years after it’s built but I’m sure it’ll create memories.

Go Behind the Scenes

Going to a development studio has always been something I’ve wanted to do but never had the chance. Of course being a bucket list affair it would include multiple studios that I admire and would be one hell of a challenge to pull off. Still, it would be an interesting trip to be sure!

Attend E3, VGAs, and other major events

Being an avid viewer and follower of the major gaming events it’d be a great honour to attend one of these expos. Whether I would be at E3 playing the newest games and watching the big three of gaming take the stage, at the VGAs watching celebrity hosts awkwardly attempt to be nerds, or at GDC talking with the developers of tomorrow it would be a time to remember.

Be a Star

Along with video games and writing I also enjoy doing cartoon style voice over. I’m probably sounding more professional than I am, as it’s really just “screwing around” right now. I do really like doing impressions and voices, and as much as I’d like to be in a video game, I’m not sure my style would fit. I doubt I’ll be replacing Nolan North but I could probably do some weird cartoon character or small animal. Not really what I’d call being a star…

Video Games!

Playing, collecting, writing about, talking about, seeing, viewing, watching, hearing, and getting a bit too excited about video games are all things I want to continue. I love video games and hope that I continue to do what I love for a long time.
